There are literally dozens and dozens of Sign Language Translators, Dictionaries and Tutorials for learning to Sign. To list any of them would be to neglect other equally good versions. If you are after sign language apps can I suggest that you search the app store under the heading of the appropriate sign language depending on your country of residence. In Australia we use AUSLAN but I know that America uses ASL and in England they use BSL, obviously there are numerous local signing variations.

iPad Apps for the Visually Impaired Kids in your Class

AppAdice.com is one of those places that I go to for quick and easy lists of apps that complete specific tasks. These guys put a lot of time and effort into making these lists and often categorise apps within the lists. They always start with an Overview of what the apps do and then list them in categories; Essential, Notable, Decent and then others.

I thought this might be a good list to share for educators but make sure that you spend some time on their site checking out all their greats AppGuides.

It has been said that technology has made the world smaller, but for the blind or those with poor vision, iDevices are opening up a whole new world. This AppList highlights some of the most innovative and entertaining apps available to the vision impaired. Now, with the aid of an iDevice, the blind can virtually see color, light, paper money and much more.
